RUSH: Here is Rick in Des Moines, Iowa.  Great to have you.  You’re next, sir.  Hello.

CALLER:  Thanks for taking my call, Rush.  The reason I was calling, I kind of was chuckling yesterday watching the DNC, you know, obviously they couldn’t hide this whole email mess, but have figured out how to blame ’em on Trump.  They started suggesting that Putin was behind it because he wanted to destroy Hillary’s campaign because obviously it’d be advantageous for Trump to be in there I guess in her place.  The question about that and the fallacy I find about it is what has Putin not gotten since Obama and Hillary were in office?

RUSH:  That’s exactly right.  That is exactly right.  What in the world would Putin be unhappy about?  Obama and Hillary are not snookering Putin.

CALLER:  Crimea, missile defense, Syria.  I mean, he’s —

RUSH:  You’re right.  It’s just a Democrat trick because Trump’s out there, Trump said (paraphrasing), “Hey, you know, Putin said great things about me, I like the guy, cool, Putin understands me.  I was very honored a world leader the stature of Putin is saying great things about me.”  So the Democrats are saying that Trump and Putin were acting in collusion here, that it’s not really WikiLeaks. That it is Putin who gave the emails to WikiLeaks in order to help Trump, because for some reason Putin is scared of Hillary.  (laughing)  Hillary with the plastic red reset button.  He-he-he.

As Rick points out here, the Democrats have given, Obama has given Putin whatever he wants.  Remember it was Obama shortly before the 2012 election who told Medvedev (paraphrasing), “Hey, hey, just tell Vlad to be patient.  When I win reelection, I’ll have all kinds of flexibility.”  Talking about nuclear disarmament and so forth.  But the trick is that the Democrats want to deflect any attention from the contents of the emails and try to get you to believe that the substance is not what’s important here, that what’s really important is how did this happen.

You are supposed to ignore all of this collusion.  You’re supposed to ignore that the DNC and the media were jointly connected in an effort to destroy the Bernie Sanders campaign.  That’s not important.  No.  What’s important is how you found out about it.  And again it’s some dirty trickster trying once again to trick the innocent and well-intentioned poor little Hillary.  What a crock.

RUSH: Do you know that Hillary Clinton hasn’t even yet pretended to condemn what happened to Bernie Sanders?  She is still clinging to the, “I — I — I — I didn’t know!”  She didn’t know like Lois Lerner didn’t have know anything.  The idea that Hillary didn’t know about this is crazy!

The people at the DNC were put there to do this by Hillary Clinton, just like the people at the IRS did not need an instruction memo from Obama to shaft the Tea Party.  They were put there to do it.  They are all like-minded partisan extremist activists.  They’re not government employees working at the IRS.  They’re Democrat Party hacks, and they are everywhere.  They’re in every bureaucracy.  So the idea that the DNC’s running a scam here to screw Bernie Sanders and Hillary doesn’t know about it? (shorting)

But beyond that, why hasn’t she condemned it?  Well, there’s gotta be an answer to that.  Wouldn’t you think in a circumstance like this where they’re all in damage control, that it would make a lot of sense for Hillary Clinton to publicly denounce this and to try to distance herself from it?  Don’t you think?  So why hasn’t she done it? (chuckling) Well, I’ll tell you why.  It’s very simple.  She’s waiting on the next email dump that Assange is pledging that’s gonna link her to it!  The odds are…

You can’t say with ontological certitude here, but the odds are that there is a paper trail or an electronic paper trail that links her to some of this.  If nothing else, people reporting to her or her acolytes — maybe Carlos Danger’s wife or Cheryl Mills, somebody in the office — would be giving a status report here, ’cause I guarantee you something, folks.  During this primary season, the Hillary campaign had to be getting nervous.

RUSH:  Yeah.  Well, the DNC leak, Debbie “Blabbermouth” Schultz being fired and leaving is what took that story away.  I mean, she was the focal point of the story.  She ran the DNC.  She’s the one that rigged the whole game for Hillary.  But I’m gonna tell you, folks, again, that rig took place in 2008.  Without getting into it in great, lengthy detail, 2008 was supposed to be the Democrat Party’s payoff to Hillary Clinton for all she had done to keep them viable while Bill Clinton was out messing everything up.  Their marriage, threatening the strength of the party and all that.  She, not only hanging in there with him, but trying to blame conservatives for his philandering and so forth, they owed her.

They owed her big time, and they pulled the rug out from under her when a younger black guy came along that they liked better.  And I guarantee you, when that happened, for the sake of party unity down the road, they couldn’t have the Clintons bolting the party after that.  They guaranteed her this year.  And the evidence was in the schedule. Look, nobody ran against her.  When Bernie Sanders ran, everybody laughed. Oh, my God, this aging socialist, nobody gave him any kind of a chance.  Martin O’Malley and Jim Webb.  I mean, nobody even ran.

They have a weak bench, but they have stronger people than that.  The game was rigged.  And then Bernie upset everything by demonstrating the Democrat Party’s even more wacko radical left than they wanted to admit.  So they had to rig the game against Bernie, and they did it in any number of ways, and the emails documented it.  The lesson ought to be that the party cheats and that the media’s in on it.  You’re right, but of course that’s been swept away and will continue to be.

RUSH: This is incredible.  We have Julian Assange of WikiLeaks who’s come out and said, hey, the Russians were not our source. The Russians did not leak Hillary’s emails to us.  And then Julian Assange suggests that it was somebody at the Democrat National Committee who provided him with the emails that proved they had rigged the game against Bernie Sanders.

A 27-year-old Democrat staffer, Democrat National Committee staffer, guy by the name of Seth Rich, Seth Conrad Rich was murdered in Washington at 4:19 in the morning on July 10th.  It’s a Sunday morning.  He was gunned down at 4:19 in the morning.  Shortly after the killing, social media users were pursuing a lead saying that Seth Conrad Rich was on his way to the FBI at the time, intending to speak to special agents about an ongoing court case involving the Clinton family.

Seth Rich’s father, Joel Rich, told reporters (paraphrasing), “Hey, look, if it was a robbery gone bad that killed my son, it failed ’cause he still has his watch, he still has his money, he still has his credit cards, he still had his phone. So if this was a robbery it was a totally wasted effort except we lost my son’s life.”

RUSH: There are benefits to having a phenomenal memory to go along with those years of experience like I do.  And therefore there’s something to be said for getting older because you cannot accrue experience without getting older.

And I have a story here today from Townhall.com, and I could swear… I could swear I saw these stories back in 1992, back in 1993, ’94.  Can I share with you the headline?  Here it is: “Clinton Body Count or Left-Wing Conspiracy? Three with Ties to DNC Mysteriously Die.”  I can remember reading magazines back in 1992 that cataloged all the people the Clintons knew who had died, and the inherent conspiracies that were associated with this.  And, lo and behold, here we go again.

This by Rachel Alexander at Townhall: “Since the Democratic National Committee emails were leaked a few weeks ago, three people associated with the DNC have all been found dead under what could be questionable circumstances.” (chuckling) Well, I’m sorry, folks, this is exactly the kind of stuff we saw back in 1992 and ’93.  And when we saw it then, the Drive-Bys reared up and they said, “How dare you!  This is beneath the scope of decency!  How dare any of you bring this up?”  Vince Foster and troopers in Arkansas, it was all over the place.

And back then, whenever the controversy arose, it came up on shows like Nightline. I mean, Ted Koppel routinely had discussions, roundtable discussions about it, and one of the things… I was on one of them.  And one of the things I said was, “Who knows what happened here.  But let me ask you a question.”  I said, “Ted, how many people do you know in your life have been murdered?  Ted, how many people do you know in your life that have died under suspicious circumstances?”

Of course and the answer is zilch, zero, nada, none, very few. (snorts) Ask the Clintons that question (laughing), and it’s a significant number.  It’s a lot of people they know who have died, who have been murdered.  And the same question here from Rachel Alexander: “What is comes down to is this: how many other politicians have you heard of who have had so many mysterious deaths associated with them? You don’t hear of a Bush body count — not even an Obama body count.” But there is a Clinton body count.  Townhall: Respectable, highly reputed journalism center.

RUSH:  I don’t think there’s any question about it, folks. I am convinced that they released the audio of that Trump thing with Access Hollywood and all that with Billy Bush last Friday to distract everybody from what’s in WikiLeaks. ‘Cause what is in this WikiLeaks dump is devastating.

It’s just rolling in now, Hillary giving up more national security secrets in terms of military strategy and other things, fracking, but any number of things that would just be very problematic for her if her voters found out that this is what she’s saying in private to her donors, but it’s all being missed because of Trump stuff.

RUSH: But, folks, I’m gonna tell you something on this WikiLeaks business.  This is just a fraction of what’s out there.  Don’t get stuck on any one thing, like John Podesta or Hillary’s staffers.  I’m telling you, think bigger.  Because what I’m reading is only what’s been hacked and what’s been released.

I think all of this is still the tip of the iceberg.  It is the tip of the iceberg that has positioned itself to sink this country as founded.  This whole WikiLeaks document dump is just the tip of the iceberg of the corruption and damage, the iceberg itself is the Democrat Party, the Obama administration, the Hillary campaign, and we’ve just seen the tip of it.

These emails demonstrate why Hillary Clinton created this private server, this illegal off-grid server.  We now know why she did it, all of the corruption taking place openly, she didn’t want it ever known, she didn’t want it ever released.  Americans are not supposed to know that the news and the candidate and the elections are scripted and rigged and coordinated.  We’re not supposed to know this.

It’s all supposed to look natural and organic.  It’s all supposed to look like everybody involved here is waking up every day not knowing what’s happening and seeing what happens and reporting it to you. And the people telling you what’s happening are the people making it happen.  This is scripted and has been for I don’t know how long, the daily soap opera, the daily news narrative, whatever, is a script and it’s coordinated.  And the only people left out of it are Republicans and conservatives.

And these WikiLeaked emails demonstrate why Hillary Clinton deleted 33,000.  They demonstrate why Democrats have secret email accounts.  They don’t email each other about how to better serve the American people.  You haven’t seen that.  You haven’t seen an email on climate change, either.  Every one of these emails is essentially a traffic in deceit.  All of these emails essentially show how the Democrats are trying to deceive everybody!  Including us.

RUSH: The cynical view of the FBI reopening the case in the Hillary Clinton emails goes this way: “Comey is just doing this to take everybody’s attention off of the WikiLeaks email dump.  He’s gonna make everybody think for the next three or four days that there’s really something to be forthcoming here. I mean, opening the investigation, reopening it is a big deal.  He knows that everybody’s gonna say, ‘Wow!  There must be something brand-new that’s dynamite.  There must be something that’s gonna just end it for her.'”

And then everybody focuses on what it is, and they drop reporting the WikiLeaks scandal, which is starting to have negative impact on the Clintons.  The WikiLeaks scandal right now is starting to hurt because it’s exposing the fraud and the hustling and the collusion and the corruption that’s going on at the Clinton Foundation.  You start messing around with things that are supposed to be charitable to serve humanity, you end up profiting personally from it, that’s easy to understand.  Everybody knows that’s not nice.

Everybody understands that you are not supposed to get rich off of a charity, and the news here is that the Clintons have done that and are doing that.  That’s easy to understand.  So, as Hillary starts plummeting in the polls — eight points down in the Washington Post — riding to the rescue is the Lone Ranger, James Comey, announcing that they’re reopening the FBI investigation into Hillary Clinton’s emails.  Everybody stops talking about what is easily portrayed and is easily understandable in the WikiLeaks story and starts speculating on what Comey and the FBI are doing.

All the while, nobody knows.

That’s the cynical view.

RUSH: The WikiLeaks email dump is beginning to have negative impact on the Hillary campaign.

The WikiLeaks story has now made the front page of the New York Times, CBS, NBC, Washington Post, ABC.  It’s now a lead story and specifically the WikiLeaks information about the Clinton Foundation and how they’re getting rich off of a charity, even quotes from Chelsea Clinton to Doug Band saying, “You gotta stop this, it looks like you’re hustling everybody,” and he was.  What he was doing, he was soliciting donations to the foundation.  Let’s just pick the ABC Widget Company.  He asked the ABC Widget Company for a $4 million donation and then asked them to hire Bill Clinton as a consultant for $3 million.

Another company was solicited for a two-and-a-half-million-dollar donation and then asked to pay Hillary Clinton $500,000 for two speeches.  This happened.  Chelsea Clinton found out about it, she goes to Doug Band, who was the guy doing it.  There’s an email from him saying (paraphrasing), “Look, I’m not the only guy doing this here. Bill Clinton was doing it. If you’re gonna focus on me, don’t just look at me, Clinton himself was doing it.”

Chelsea sees also this, there’s an email from Chelsea in which her reaction is recorded, and her reaction is (paraphrasing), “You gotta stop this.  It looks like you’re out there hustling,” which is exactly what he was doing.  The Clintons have gotten rich off of their charity.  That’s easy to understand, because charities are about giving money away, not taking it.  But here comes this FBI investigation.  Yes, they’re reopening it.  And what’s gonna happen, the WikiLeaks story is gonna take second, third, our fourth place.  This is the cynical view.

So the reopening of the email investigation sweeps the WikiLeaks leaks off of all news coverage.  And then next week Comey sends another letter out saying our investigation is complete and there’s nothing to see here.  We found nothing new. We followed the lead that we had, and our investigation’s now closed.  And WikiLeaks will have been off and out of the news for five days.  That is the cynical view of this.

RUSH: Now, Kim Dotcom, I first got wind of this two nights ago in a super-secret phone call.  Kim Dotcom, the caller was right.  In all of these Podesta emails there’s not a single Hillary Clinton email in the bunch, if you have noticed.  It’s Podesta emailing everybody, the DNC, everybody in the Hillary campaign, but there are no Hillary Clinton emails in this Podesta dump.  We are at — what’s the number?  We’re at 50,000 or 30,000 Podesta emails.  This guy was a prolific emailer.

There are tens of thousands of them so far, and none of them are Hillary’s.  Remember, she had 60,000 on her server.  She turned 30,000 of them over and said the other 30,000 were nobody’s business ’cause they’re about yoga and her daughter’s wedding and wedding registry and reception and stuff like that.  Along comes, to get to the short version of the story, Kim Dotcom alleging he knows where those 33,000 emails are.

They were not destroyed. Hillary may think they were, but they are somewhere in the hands of the National Security Agency, the NSA.  And he was offering anybody who cared a way to get them.  He was offering people a route.  He was claiming he knew how to get them.  So our caller’s theory is that that’s what the FBI has now become aware of, is Hillary’s emails that they were led to believe had been destroyed, Hillary deleted them, remember, with a cloth.  She wiped the server.  “Oh, you mean like with a cloth?” she said.  Then we later learned that the bleach bunch did it.  But they’re there.

And if they’re there, if they’re somewhere, there’s something in them she doesn’t want anybody to see.  Along comes Kim Dotcom who’s got an axe to grind with the U.S. government, the Obama administration.  He knows Assange.  So the people — nobody knows — this is all speculation.  What’s going on here is that Kim Dotcom has worked with Assange and is really the hacker.  It’s not the Russians.

(laughing) Oh, my gosh.  Okay, here’s… Snerdley’s theory is the FBI does their own internal polling, and the FBI is looking at things here and they realize there might be a new sheriff in town here in a couple of weeks and they might want to get on the right side of things with the new sheriff.

You’re talking about Sheriff Trump, right? (interruption) Yeah.  That’s not what the FBI’s supposed to do.  See, this is… The FBI is one of these institutions that we used to be able to count on, depend on, and what they told you was true.  If there was DNA evidence on something, it was there.  If there wasn’t, it wasn’t.  If there was gun residue here or wasn’t, yeah. Whatever they told you, you believed — and that’s out the window.

That’s gone now with this Clinton investigation.  They really have blown that.  I mean, people now think the FBI can be politicized like anything else that Obama touches or that the Democrats touch.

RUSH: What is all anybody wants to know?  Is this gonna have an effect on the election?  That’s all anybody wants to know.  And I’m gonna tell you, yes!  And, if you don’t believe that, just listen to the Democrats.

If you don’t think this is gonna have an impact on the election, listen to the Democrats.  You got Dingy Harry out there reviving a technique of his in 2012.  Dingy Harry’s got another friend.  And this time the friend said that Comey is breaking the Hatch Act, that James Comey is breaking the law by doing what he’s doing. Dingy Harry has a friend who told him this.  Comey is not breaking the law. He’s not breaking the Hatch Act.

Now, look, I’m gonna get into all this because it’s fun, but the bottom line is, which is all everybody wants to know, I played golf over the weekend and everybody is asking, “Is it gonna have any impact on the election?”  Of course it is. And as I say, all you have to know, all you have to do to know that is listen to the Democrats caterwaul and whine and moan.  Why, it was just a couple months ago that James Comey was the greatest FBI director ever.  It was just a couple months ago that James Comey was a paragon of virtue, a paragon of integrity.  And now look.

I guess none of that was true.  I guess it’s not operative any longer.  They are worried to death on the Hillary side.  They’ve nominated somebody that’s under constant FBI investigation, and there are four different investigations into the Clinton Foundation.  Do not doubt me when I tell you that within the inner circles of the Democrat Party they are very worried about this. Even if she gets elected they’re very worried about it, because of what it portends for her presidency.  This woman is corrupt.  She and her husband are constantly engaged in things that place them under investigation, for 30 years.

This is what you get with the Clintons because of the way the Clintons operate.

RUSH: We’ve got this deviant, Anthony Weiner, and his unsecured laptop which may have — most likely does have — classified State Department data on it.  This is a guy who’s been sexting with teenage girls. He’s everything from a blackmail risk to just absolute reprobate behavior.

This guy has had access to who knows what, and who knows what a guy like this sexting with teenagers… One of the things guys like this like to do is really impress young people with what they know and how inside they are.  Who knows what this guy’s blabbed!  Then we have WikiLeaks and all of the information we’re learning about the Clinton Crime Family Foundation.  We’ve got Hillary’s illegal server, and we know the president of the United States lied when he said he didn’t know about it ’til we all found out in the news.

He was communicating with her on what he knew to be an illegal server by using a fake name.  Obama has been reduced to a liar.  This is what happens to people who come in contact with the Clintons.  Nothing good happens to most of them, and Clinton and her illegal behavior has now snared Obama for whatever reason.

RUSH: So Comey has revived the investigation because he couldn’t resist mounting pressure inside the FBI by agents.  This is, of course, people who are in there and know.  Those people say the atmosphere inside the FBI has been toxic ever since last July when she was exonerated.  Ed Klein, U.K. Daily Mail, says that Comey told his wife he was depressed by the stack of resignation letters piling up on his desk from agents who were unhappy and didn’t want to keep working there.

He was worried Republicans would accuse him of granting Hillary political favoritism after the presidential election.  He’s facing all these different things.  I think finally what happened was, if you want to know the truth, I think finally what happened to James Comey is that old saying that I paraphrased earlier that “justice knows no clock” has finally prevailed here.

So the question, will it affect the election?  Hell, yes.  We don’t know how much, and we don’t know to what end, but hell, yes, it’s gonna.  You only have to look at Democrat reaction to this to know that.
